How Are 3D Impressions Performed?
Individuals getting 3D impressions can relax in one of our treatment chairs while Dr. Umansky moves a small scanning wand throughout their mouth. This tool uses blue wavelength light to exactly capture all regions, crevices, and corners of your teeth. Once the scan is done, a model of your teeth will appear on the monitor. If any areas were overlooked during the first scan, then a very simple re-scan will be performed to capture the additional areas, compared to utilizing dental molds that would necessitate the entire process to be redone.
