
David K. Umansky, DDS
Dr. David Umansky earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas in Austin, where he majored in English Literature and minored in Biochemistry, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with High Honors. He earned his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston Dental Branch, ranking 8th in his class of 60 students. Dr. Umansky also completed a 1-year internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery, receiving advanced training in tooth impactions, pre-prosthetic surgery, IV sedation, oral trauma, oral pathology, treatment of oral diseases, and dental implants. His professional achievements include Mastership status at the Academy of General Dentistry and a membership in the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society, both highly exclusive due to the level of CE courses and academic achievement required. He is also a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Umansky’s drive to acquire top-level knowledge and skills of dentistry has earned him several scholarships and positions on the Dean’s List. He continues to pursue dentistry with the same ambition, achieving over 1,500 hours of continuing dental education to date and striving to provide his patients with the best possible care.
He and his wife, Angela, have been married for over 20 years and have a 11-year-old son named Ben. Dr. Umansky’s pastimes include fishing with his son, spending time with family, and perfecting his barbecue skills.
